Message from Business Manager, Financial Secretary / Treasurer Bob Lamb 12-3-06 Letter to the membership: Brothers and Sisters of UA Local 582,
I hope you are all enjoying this holiday season. The reason for
this letter is to inform all of you that I have been offered and that I
have accepted the position of Special Representative for the United Association.
I will be assisting International Representative Jim Kellogg within his
territory of California and Hawaii. This means that I will be leaving the
office of Business Manager/Financial Secretary, Treasurer of UA Local 582.
My last day in office will be January 31, 2007.
July 1st 2007 the newly elected officers will take office. Glen’s new title will be Business Agent in charge. No other agent will be appointed at this time. I will be training Glen for his new duties during the next two months so there will be as smooth a transition as possible. On a personal note I would like to thank each and every member for all of the support you have given me over the years and for the honor of allowing me to serve as your Business Manager/Financial Secretary, Treasurer. I want you all to know that I will never forget that I am a proud Local 582 Journeyman member. This means the world to me. I wish you all the best. Sincerely and Fraternally,
Robert J. Lamb II
Our last meeting here at the hall was a very informative one with answers freely given and questions freely asked. Please come on down to our next meeting to get the straight story, stop relying on others word of mouth to get your information. Get involved with YOUR Local union home. Please remember that the very
best way for you to be informed is to regularly attend union meetings here
at our hall. Our meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of every month at
5:30 pm. Please make every effort to attend your meetings here in your
union home.
